What does reading my tyre mean?
Reading a tyre means reading the information on the sidewalls of your existing tyre, e.g. 205/65 R16 95 V. If you have this information, it will help you select a suitable tyre quickly.
What is the rim size?
In the example above - 205/65 R16 95 V - the diameter of the rim is 16 inches.
What is the width?
The width or section of the tyres is measured in mm. In the example above, it is 205mm.
What is the aspect ratio?
Aspect, also called profile of the tyre, is the height of the tyre from the rim to the tread area and is shown as a percentage of the tread width. In the above example, the height of the tyre is 65% of the width. As the width is 205mm, the height is 133.25mm.
